I love where I live.

Beautiful winterish day. No clouds; minimal wind. Cold, but since there wasn't much wind it wasn't bad. Wore my favorite winter jacket (ok, my ONLY winter jacket), Hind tights, HUP booties, and my cheapo Nashbar winter gloves with liners. It was 20-25F when I started.
The wind is stilll cold, but the sun is feeling like spring. I headed out towards Pinetown road, Silver lake, and Roundtop. Saw that little ski zit against the blue sky. I must say it was quite nice. Appears to be lots of (manmade) snow. I got a good 26 miles in, felt pretty strong and generally had a great ride. Looking forward to tomorrow when I'm off so I can get an easy, long ride in.
Did I mention I only saw about 6 cars the whole friggin ride?
THAT is one of the BIG reasons I love to ride out there.

Greetings again HupMate. Cxstraggler coming at ya from Lewisberry. I was out but heading toward Lisburn via Breneman rd and small loop, because got started late. Yeah this area is sweet for rolling hills(dont always feel that way) and inconsistent traffic(when they know how to drive). Good to hear you got out and got a good ride. Mine was meager, but attacked hills in larger gears(stayed in 53 ring whole way)so actually had a moderately so-so workout. hope to get out like you tomorrow as well and stretch the miles out some as well. Hopefully more awake since not working my nightshift tonite. See ya out and about and yes we do have to get together and ride sometime. HupItUp!!!

Aha! We must be alternating days and routes . I went up near ski Round-top and bypassed along the breeches and headed over @ the Turnpike exit along rt 15. Met up with someone along the way and managed to still do a decent ride as well. i didnt get out till @1500 hrs tho, so you were probably done by then. Another day, maybe. glad to hear you had a good long ride in. Yeah only did in @ mid 20 miler today. Looks like crap weather next few days. oh boy here comes the trainer, staring at me again from around the corner. Glad you had a safe and fruitful ride. take er easy and blog ya soon.

No piccies of your area/ride? Pffft.

And it really is nice to ride in a place with lack of traffic, isn't it?

I've posted many pictures before on RBR. Maybe I'll have to take the camera along next time. I can't provide any pics of big mountains, but streams, creeks, and rivers we've got. And no traffic. :-)

Cool. Post pics then when you have the time and inclination.

Btw, your main page photo pretty much rocks. Awesome shot.
